Using Axxiom Advisors

The Value of Being an Axxiom Advisor
Why do Franchise Companies use Axxiom!

Franchisors want to attract high-quality prospects for consideration as franchisees in their systems. For the franchisor finding these high-quality prospects is an expensive and time-consuming task.  One way the franchise companies find prospects is to advertise on a variety of franchising websites.

The principal problems for franchisors with Internet advertising are the anonymity of respondents and high cost.  The vast majority of people that respond to the ads are tire-kickers and usually not qualified. They are never going to buy a business, don’t have the financial wherewithal to buy a business or are not currently ready to buy a business.  Even the ones that are motivated to buy a business are most likely requesting information from a large number of franchise companies, and they may not be the right match for the franchisor’s requirements.  Therefore, it takes a lot of these unqualified leads to find one that is a good candidate for the franchisor.  Not only has the franchise company spent a lot of money on the advertisements, but they need to have a large staff to follow up on the leads, adding an enormous fixed cost to the franchise company.  It is not uncommon for a franchise company to process 400-700 Internet leads to close one sale.

Contrast the above scenario with a franchise company that uses Axxiom Franchise Advisors to find a qualified prospect.  An Axxiom Advisor has completed the following before referring the prospect to the franchise company.

♦       Counseled the prospect on the pros & cons of business ownership
♦       Educated the prospect on the advantages and disadvantages of owning a franchise
♦       Profiled the prospect for their specific needs, goals and requirements and matched them to the
         franchisor’s opportunity
♦       Provided the prospect a summary overview of the franchise company
♦       Established a pre-negotiated commission agreement with the franchise company
         for his/her referral.
♦       Provided the franchisor a completed Axxiom Confidential Questionnaire, a resume and
a summary statement of the expectations and concerns of the prospect.

The Axxiom Advisor works for their client and as such, they are likely presenting the prospect to several franchise companies matching their needs.  Because of this, the franchise company does not expect to make a sale on all referrals, but our experience indicates a franchise company will close 1 out of 11 Axxiom referrals.  On top of this, the franchise company has no investment or expense unless an Axxiom referral results in a sale.   The franchise “in-house” employee fixed cost is vastly reduced due to the fact they typically may close 1 out of 11 Axxiom consultant referrals versus staffing up to process 400-700 leads to make the same sale. The economics are compelling as to the reason more and more franchise companies are relying on the services of Axxiom consultants to assist them in finding qualified prospects for the purchase of their franchises.

It is important to remember that after making the referral, the Axxiom Advisor continues to consult and advise the prospect. The Axxiom Advisor keeps the franchisor appraised of any concerns or questions that the prospect may have as the process continues.
